GALLAGHER, Harold Thomas
On Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the St Catharines Hospital Harold passed away unexpectedly at the age of 85. Predeceased by his wife Ann Marie (nee Longo) (2022). Loving father of Jay Gallagher, Todd Gallagher (Shelley), Holly Gallagher, Jill (Leo) Reynolds. Dear grandfather of Nicole (Dustin), Matthew, Jordan (Amber), Kaylee. Great grandfather of Frankie and Nolan. Survived by two sisters Lil (Rannie) Harrison and Noreen (Mike) Locke. Predeceased by two brothers Ernie (Judy), Charlie (Jackie) and three sisters Margeurite (Eddie) White, Marie (Bill) Stansel, Kay Cavanaugh. Brother-in-law of the late Bill (Liz) Longo and late Dr. Thomas (Margery) Longo. Harold will be sadly missed by many family and friends. The family will receive friends at the HAINE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 26 Ormond Street South, Thorold on Wednesday, July 5 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, July 5 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery, Thorold. If so desired, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

CLOCHERTY, James ‘Jim’
Peacefully on Monday, June 19th, 2023 at Woodlands of Sunset at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Charlene (nee Bessey) for 37 years. Loving father of Jason (Joanne). Dear grandfather of Matthew and Curtis. Great grandfather of Mason. Cousin of Rob and Grace Clocherty. Uncle of Shaun, Leigh-Ann and Kellie. Jim will be sadly missed by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and many family & friends. He worked at Provincial Paper for 38 years before retiring in 1999. Jim loved being Santa Claus in the Thorold Parade and various other places. He was a member and Past President of the Thorold Legion Branch 17. The family will receive friends at the HAINE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 26 Ormond Street South, Thorold on Friday, July 7th from 12:00-1:00pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, July 7th at 1:00pm. Interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at the Thorold Legion (3 Ormond St S., Thorold) on Sunday, July 9th from 1:00-4:00pm. If so desired, donations to the Thorold Legion or Niagara Childrens Centre would be appreciated by the family.
