Poppy Campaign

From the last Friday in October to Remembrance Day, millions of Canadians wear a Poppy as a visual pledge to never forget those who sacrificed for our freedom. We invite everyone across the country to show their recognition by proudly wearing this symbol of Remembrance and taking a moment to reflect.

The Branch ceremony will be held on Remembrance Day, November 11th, forming up at the cenotaph at Memorial Park for the service a few minutes prior to 11:00 am.
You can read the notice mailed out to members HERE

We are now able to accept Poppy donations by eTransfer and online via GoFundMe.
Details are on the Poppy page of the website HERE

We are also always looking for volunteers to help “POPPY” and you DO NOT NEED a uniform. A schedule is posted at the branch for the time and places available. Please contact the branch to sign up to help participate in this very worthy and needed cause.

Celebration of Life

The Branch is hosting a Celebration of Life for Fred “Freddy” Matheson to honor the life of our friend and Comrade on Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.

The family appreciates all the support from relatives, friends, and the community he loved. Everyone is welcome to attend and give our friend the send off that he so deserves.

If you are able to help with food there is a list posted at the branch. Please check the list and add your name if you will be providing any food.

We will also be collecting donations to support his family in their time of need to help them make proper arrangements for Freddy.
